What few clients have said:
One of my goals in Pilates with Maddie is to tone and strengthen the back of my arms and around the bra line. My weekly Pilates sessions are working! Now I even get compliments on how great my arms look!
Alysia
I have done pilates on and off for over 15 years and Maddie is by far the most amazing experience I have ever had. She has a keen insight and understanding of how to adjust your body in the slightest way to achieve the greatest result. Her compassion, humor and positive attitude puts you right at ease and makes it fun to work out. I have some limitations and Maddie always finds creative ways to work around them. She’s the best!
Denise
Maddie is the best! I started with her about six months after my daughter was born who is now three. She was critical in helping me find my core postpartum. She helped guide me through my second pregnancy. I had significantly less back pain with my second pregnancy than my first and I attribute this completely to Maddie. As I was nearing the end of my pregnancy, Maddie helped to prepare me for birth, including specific exercises which led to a quick and easy delivery. I even recall one specific exercise which spurred my labor. This postpartum journey has been so much easier physically for me and I know that is largely in part two my continued work with Maddie starting back with her only two weeks postpartum this time. She is able to adapt to wherever you are in your life, emotionally, mentally, and physically.

I went with a friend to Maddie’s for my first Pilates class, and now I have started going 3 times a week. Maddie isn’t just helping me tone and lengthen but also she helps me be aligned in other aspects of life. Aligned mind, body, and soul. Maddie specifically tailors the exercises for you! Time with Maddie is time not just time with a Pilates instructor but with a friend, a helper, and a positive light by your side helping you be your best self!

PILATES
Rehabilitation & Injury Prevention
Our Pilates classes are tailored for individuals recovering from injuries or looking to prevent them. We focus on gentle, yet effective, techniques that promote healing, build strength, and enhance flexibility, helping you move through life with ease and grace. Maddie tailors her Pilates privates based on your specific goals. These goals range from toning a specific area of the body to feeling safe moving a part of your body that has felt limited for years or decades. Maddie’s strength is meeting her clients where they are at and progressing them at a pace that their nervous system can integrate. The nervous system is how your brain connects with your body. Maddie brings the brain and body closer together through mindful movement. This just like any meditation creates new neural pathways and new possibilities for healing and change.

Prenatal Pilates
Maddie knows the role of movement in the birthing process. Her prenatal pilates appointments teach you the movements used in labor for a more easeful experience.

Postnatal Pilates
Maddies postnatal appointments strengthen the pelvic floor muscles to ensure a full recovery. Six weeks after the birth it is very important to start strengthening pelvic floor muscles and transverse abdominals. Maddie teaches all her mothers a simple breathing technique to incorporate into daily life while healing from birth.
DANCE

Dance Classes for Adults

Dance Classes for Youth
Maddie feels inspired to share a series of movements with anyone who wants to dance at any level or movement ability. These movements connect the mind and body in such a way that can open up new neural pathways in the brain and promote deeper emotional and spiritual healing. The Pilates method promotes physical healing but taking these movement principles and using them for self expression through dance can take people to the next level of healing on a spiritual and emotional level.
Maddie’s creative movement classes encourage students to explore their potential, express themselves, and build confidence through the art of dance and mindful movement. Maddie focuses on teaching principles of mindfulness, meditation, and body awareness to help develop skills like emotional regulation. Her technical skills range from classical ballet and modern training to pedagogy in improvisation and choreography.
BIRTH

Maddie's Role as your Doula

Postnatal Care for New Mothers
As a doula Maddie is able to prepare mothers physically and mentally. Her prenatal pilates classes are a time for Maddie and the preparing mother to create a trusting relationship. Maddie learns the expectations the mother has for birth and how she can be the best advocate for her. Maddies nurturing presence allows for you to feel safe at the most vulnerable moments of birth. She is there for emotional support and to perform comfort measures such as massage and acupressure.
All mothers are in need of physical and spiritual support after giving birth! Maddies one hour house calls will offer you the help you need. This includes a physical assessment (pilates and breathing techniques) for the mother and gentle acupressure for the baby. She also can hold your baby while you take a shower or help with simple house chores. She is a great friend to talk to as you transition into a new life with your baby!

Reiki Healing
Complementing our movement classes, we offer Reiki healing sessions to balance your energy and promote overall well-being. Whether you're looking to relieve stress, enhance your physical recovery, or simply find inner peace, our Reiki sessions are designed to support your holistic health. The energetic body exists right above the physical body. Reiki or energy work is when a practitioner is able to feel where the body has too much or too little energy through doing a body scan. Maddie is using her hands to add or take away energy from what she senses or feels. She is trained to do this through the reiki system but takes her own spiritual approach that is God centered. Maddie spends time in prayer on her own time cultivating this energy she loves to share with her clients. She can also help you do energy work on yourself. It is not a superpower. Anyone can do this. It is a very simple human ability that promotes healing and balance in the body.

About Maddie
Maddie fell in love with movement growing up in Tampa playing sports and dancing. She pursued concert dance at Blake High School and received a BFA in Dance from the University of Utah. During that time she completed 450 hr. comprehensive Pilates certification. After college she moved to NYC and taught a climate of diverse clientele. Here, she dealt with her own dance related injuries. This instigated a deeper dive in her personal Pilates practice. She then obtained an advanced certification for movement professionals which included courses in anatomy, physiology, hypermobility, and pre- and postnatal continued education courses. Her New York experience deepened her hands on skills, pain management approach, and goal setting mentality for herself and her clients. She has worked with clients navigating challenges such as disc herniations, spondylolisthesis, osteoarthritis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, joint replacement and repair, scoliosis, spinal fusions, and more. She specializes in movement re-education and works with a range of clients dealing with complex, chronic issues and those just looking to support their bigger fitness goals.
